AEG Bakeoff

October 2018

Won the AEG Bakeoff Competition Finals

In the preliminary stages I was handpicked to compete in the competition by the renowned British author, baker, and television cook Juliet Sear. In the finals, contestants competed in a blind technical challenge to produce a mixed berry soufflé and the competition was judged by none other than Great British Bakeoff Finalist, Richard Burr.

Bluebird Charity Bake Off

February 2018

Awarded 3rd Place at the Bluebird Lemon Themed Bakeoff.

Each baker was asked to prepare a twist on the Lemon Drizzle. The judging panel was made up of Great Taste Award judge Felicity Spector, MasterChef finalist and cookbook author Emma Spitzer, writer Alicia Grimshaw and Bluebird’s very own pastry chef, Roger Pizey.

My creative twist on the classic Lemon Drizzle cake was a Ginger & Lemon cake, featuring a ginger sponge filled with a lemon cream cheese frosting and lemon curd and topped with honey drizzled blueberries, caught the attention of the judges and impressed them with its unique flavour and texture.

The competition was held in support of WaterAid, a charity dedicated to providing clean water and sanitation to those in need. 25 percent of all proceeds went to the charity, making the bakeoff not only a celebration of culinary talent but also a great way to give back to the community.
